This 5 micron sediment filter installs into your water line to clean the water as it travels through your water pipes. It will collect all sediment down to a 5 micron size. Then when it is full, simply discard the replaceable filter. Time to replace the filter cartridge will vary depending on your water, but will normally be about 6 months to 1 year.
